A friend was cleaning out her parent’s house- a gorgeous 1930’s home near Boston. In the living room, the discovered a window seat in which the puzzles had been stored for what must have been over 60 years. Our friend grew up in that house and didn’t even know the puzzles were there. Being stored so safely for all those years, the puzzles are in wonderful condition. And, knowing this family and how well they kept their home, our guess is if a puzzle box broke, they switched it to a sturdier box to keep the puzzle safe.
We’ve been slowly going through them, putting them together to be sure all the pieces are still there, and so far, we’ve been amazed at how many are still complete.
