“Purple Orchid” is based on my original photograph and digital painting.
The puzzle is 11.5″ x 17.25″ and has 232 interlocking pieces cut in a free-hand pattern. The puzzle features a contoured border and three drop-outs adding an additional challenge. My puzzles are made by bonding luster finish, water and fingerprint resistant, archival photo paper to 1/4″ 5-ply Baltic birch. I cut the puzzles by hand on a scroll saw using an ultra-fine blade. The puzzle is completed by sanding and packaging in an attractive presentation tin such as the sample that is pictured.
