This puzzle was made by W. G. Evans & Sons, Jig Saw Puzzle Manufacturers, Williams Mews, Stanhope Street, Euston Road, London, N.W.1. A cutter number – JN24 – is written on the bottom of one corner piece. This push-fit puzzle measures 11 x 16 3/4 inches and features eight figural pieces. It is complete and all original. One knob is missing paper and the top layer of wood. The puzzle shows some wear, but is very well cut and makes a beautiful picture.
The puzzle comes in its original box. Six of the eight corners need to be taped.
This puzzle is part of an extensive collection of vintage hand-cut puzzles formerly owned by the late Ann Bohner, known on eBay as “puzzled grannie.” The collection includes both push-fit and interlocking puzzles.
