Description provided (if any) when acquired:

Although the cutter is unknown, a note from jigsaw puzzle expert Anne Williams explains why the cutter is possibly someone in the Hawkes family of Brighton, Mass. This note will be enclosed with the puzzle. The puzzle is cut in a random style and is almost entirely non-interlocking and push-fit. It features very extensive color-line cutting and a few rather crude figural pieces. Some pieces are fairly large. The puzzle is all original with no missing pieces. Two knobs are missing very small amounts of paper, and there is minor bubbling paper on a few pieces. Otherwise this beautiful puzzle is in fine condition- a nice historic piece.

The original container for this puzzle is a cloth drawstring bag which is included with the puzzle in a new box.

This puzzle is part of an extensive collection of vintage hand-cut puzzle formerly owned by the late Ann Bohner, known on eBay as “puzzled grannie.” The collection includes both push-fit and interlocking puzzles.
