February is the first in a series of puzzles I’m cutting. I bought a calendar in NH of the work of a local artist. I’ve designed puzzles for each of the months, including picking a different font for each title piece. This puzzle is 115 pieces, and foxes playing in the snow seemed to be a good theme.
When cutting the puzzle, I realized that the paper used for the calendar is pretty sub-par. The top layer, basically the color of the print, easily peels off the top. I’m being very careful with the cutting and with the removal of my templates, but have still had to do some touch up with permanent markers. I guess I’ve learned to examine the quality of the print I plan to use for a puzzle.
