I was given some specific parameters when designing this puzzle, however Bronwen was happy to let me experiment and to follow my creative instincts as I contemplated this commission.

I finished it! Late last night, but I needed natural light to check all the pieces were in the right place, and to take photos. I’m still gobsmacked that a puzzle like this can be cut by hand – see the photo of the reverse to get an idea of the beautiful pattern intricacy. The print is ‘Lucero’s Place, Springtime’, painted in about 1920 by American artist William Penhallow Henderson (1877 – 1943). I’m thrilled!
